Perpetual means perpetual

You buy the building once and you own that license. The optional support and maintenance contract — 20% of purchase cost per year — keeps you on new versions and security patches with access to our team. It is how most customers run, and it is the part you can stop without losing what you bought.

What's actually free?

Everything. Every protocol, every feature, the portal, the remote access tunnel, the backups, the AI access. The limit is one active site per user, and it moves with you — activate a new free site and the entitlement follows, after we warn you first.

Prefer to spread the cost?

We offer subscription licensing alongside the perpetual model, and high-volume deployments of simple sites — retail, branch banking, quick-service — price differently again. Talk to us and we will work out which shape fits.

The fine print, up front

  • The free site is a 30-day trial of the complete platform, with Normal Online services included. Re-provision from the portal to keep going.
  • One active free site per user. Activating a new one moves the entitlement off the old one — the portal warns you before this happens.
  • Perpetual licenses are per building and do not expire. Support and maintenance is billed annually and is optional.
  • Normal runs on your hardware, on your network. We never see your point data unless you choose to send it to us.
  • Prices are in US dollars and exclude tax.
