Neeve set out to advance building automation by integrating data and optimizing security, searching for a streamlined solution to extract building data and enhance HVAC control systems. They identified our lightweight, API-first Normal Framework (NF) platform as a cost-effective alternative to heavier systems like Tridium, marking the start of a dynamic partnership. NF's low-overhead data egress and flexible architecture quickly proved valuable in helping Neeve optimize building operations.

NF enabled Neeve to link occupancy sensor data to HVAC controls, especially for managing heating and cooling in conference rooms. The containerized, API-driven solution and intuitive application SDK allowed Neeve to develop custom functions with ease, integrating seamlessly into their workflows. This flexibility was crucial—NF's consistent API handled the unique complexities of each building's systems without requiring extensive custom hacks, resulting in much faster deployments and onboarding compared to competitors' multi-year backlogs.

The partnership thrived on our team's responsiveness and technical expertise. Through open communication channels, Normal's team acted as an extension of Neeve's, rapidly addressing integration challenges and resolving issues with speed. A pivotal moment came when we tackled a complex integration with a 15-20-year-old JACE system using the Fox protocol, enabling a deployment that would have been cost-prohibitive with Tridium's licensing model. This technical agility demonstrated our ability to navigate edge cases effectively and instilled confidence in our expertise.
